What's the deal with the legality of file sharing? I've been hearing many mixed answers from friends. Some say it's legal for people to download but not to share. Some say P2P downloading and sharing is legal, and that the company is the illegal part. Which of these, if either, is right, and which is the safest file sharing network to use? Lime wire or something else. Also I have a Mac, not a Windows. And I would like to be able to put them on my Ipod.

suppose i have a file 1.xls in c:\
and i want to paste in all folders starting with xc_
like xc_cad,xc_gad,xc_acad etc etc....
is it possible to do it using DOS prompt in one go?
or is it possible to do it using some other method

The modem works and everything is hooked up correctly but for some reason my computer can not detect it. Does any one know how to fix this?

Last night I was capping something and my drive was working fine. I finished doing what I was doing and went to watch a dvd later on. Now, when I tried to watch the DVD for some reason it wasn't playing properly. The sound is all distorted and the images are all weird, it's as if the computer is running slow when it's playing...when it's not. The picture kinda slows then speeds up. Now, I know that it's not the DVD because I have tried numerous. I think maybe the lens has gone or it may be something to do with the way the drive reads the DVDs.
When I try and put the DVD say in windows media player of real player I get the message that the player cannot play the DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card.
Can anyone help?

everytime i try and delete 2 user accounts that are not used anymore the screen freezes on me when i click delete account.any1 have any ideas why and how i can stop this happening??

I'm visiting my grandmother in HHI and I'm trying to set up a wireless network in her house. I've already called the computer guy's that help me back home, and they can't figure out the problem, So I'm desperate. If anyone lives in the area and knows of someone, or if anyone not in the area knows of a website that gives you local IT places. I can't seem to find any on the web. I'd appreciate any help. I am looking to purchase Flight Simulator. I want to download it onto my Visat running new dell latop with 2gb ram and dual core processor. The downside is the graphics cadr is 128mb dedicated graphics. Is there anyway i can get it to use some of the ram from my main ram.? anyway, i tries the dwmo of fsx on it, but it was really slow, is it worth getting fs2004 or 2002? will they run better? any help please.

i have seen a adsl router in a local computer shop for £25,and at the moment i am using a bt home hub
is there a difference between a hub and a router,is it because i use a hub that i notice poor connection performance

I have heard that my 256mb ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 graphics card has only 128mb dedicated graphics memory, and that it gets the other 128mb from the system RAM. I have 2gb RAM, but most of the time only half of that is being used. Is there anyway that I can set the graphics card to use up some of that gig of RAM remaining when playing games? I have an Inspiron 6400 Notebook with 1.83ghz dual processor.
