Take the Windows 2000 CDROM and boot your PC from it. You can then reinstall your Operating System from there. This will reformat your Hard Drive for you and allow you to start over.

From the command prompt type c:\format c:/s

Have your windows CD handy to reload everything over again. After you format, put the windows CD in and reboot hitting f5, pick boot from CD-rom. At that point the CD will walk you through the rest.

Backup anything you want to keep first - like music, pictures, email addresses............

This will take hours to complete.

Format your hard drive. That will basically erase everything on your computer.

Good luck!

basicly just boot from the disk. i sugest you might as well start over with xp. but when you do this drivers might be mising based upon your computer type and well then that becomes a hasel so when going into this remember that there is a posibilaty that things might go wrong.

You have to have the original disk that came with the computer, or a replacement operating system disk.
