The laptop is a Compaq Presario 2670. The wireless card supports Broadrange and Bluetooth. It has no ON/OFF switch and must be disabled by using the settings. I would like to turn it off when I'm not surfing the net to limit exposure to the radiation. thanks.

and how can we find something in our history file?
or how we can display all files which ends with *.html in our current directory or history file.
waht does export command exactly do and grep and egrep and fgrep?

I like to listen to music on my computer, but do not like to use Windows Media Player, Real Player or Quicktime.

Can you recommend a simple player that will let me play my music cd's and also let me make up copies of my cd's.

I don't want anything that is complicted or fancy.... just a plain simple player will be fine.

today i got a new game and when i started the new game it worked. But when i pressed the night vision key it just froze and messed up the game. Anyone know why this would happen? Then whenever i tried playing it, it would finish loading and then go into the game and then freeze on me. Is it like a overheating problem or something?

ever since i updated my driver it started to get weird on me. But im sure i got the right driver.

whenever i played the demo of the game it worked. Why is that?

My volume is all the way down and I hear music from them. It's not very loud, but I can hear it and the speakers are almost 3 feet from me. Any ideas or suggestions? It's starting to get annoying since it's not my favorite kind of music either. It is a local radio station and it started about 3 days ago.

A few weeks ago, a friend gave me an HP Pavilion. He told me that it needed a sound card. When I opened it up, I noticed that someone has tried to pry out the onboard audio (it's the part where you plug in your speakers, mic, etc) and it is mangled! How can this be fixed? It is connected to the motherboard, and I need to know what I need to do to replace it. I haven't found anything on the web that helps.

It's a great machine, but it's very frustrating not having any sound at all. I'm still learning about the internal parts of a computer. Please help!

I'll be typing something in word or here on Answers and suddenly i hear that annoying error sound and find that the computer automatically right clicked. As in, "copy" "select" paste" show up just like when you right click normally.

I use a laptop by the way.

On 1st Nov I have nose operation because ,accoring to the doctor it will help to reduce snoring.
My nose is block since ages but snoring started recently and my doctor knows that , and thats why he said it will only reduce snoring.
Any body knows any thing to stop snoring completely

When I import a Mini-DV tape using iMovie, it takes up more than 12 gigabytes on my hard drive. I'm not worried about running out of space on the computer, but I was hoping to fit a whole tape on one DVD, or there-abouts. One tape would fill three discs! Is there a way to downsize the file size? Any help is greatly appreciated- I am disappointed!
