When you download and install the new web browser, a window will pop up asking you if you want to make it your default browser. Click yes.

If by some chance during installation you chose 'no', open the browser any time after installation, go to tools-->options. There you should see an option to make this your default web browser.

you are able to do it absolutely one of two techniques. the first way is to go less than "equipment" on the best of your IE web page and then click "information superhighway thoughts". click the tab marked "classes" and then verify the container that asserts "information superhighway Explorer might want to verify to confirm even if that is the default browser" Or: click commence>administration panel>upload or get rid of classes>set software get correct of entry to and defaults>custom(click arrow icon to the right of custom) and then your first option is "opt for a Default internet Browser". Tick off information superhighway Explorer, click ok and close that window. you'll see a window pop up telling you that abode windows is putting information superhighway Explorer because the default software.

Download and install a new browser (I suggest FireFox). Then, just run that browser and it will ask you if you want to set it as your default.
