McAfee Aio suite (updated regularly), regular disk defrag, registry keys, browser history, cookies, application remnants cleaned and scanned for viruses and spywares.

Size of "Program Files" is about 5 Gig. If this has anything to do.

this is what is says on the dvd burner : Writemaster TM ;; DVD MULTI Recorder ;; RW DVD+R DL ;; compact disc rewritable Ultra speed + . Im guessing "DL" stands for Dual layered which means i can burn with dual layered discs?

my computer frezes whenever I do many tasks, especially when I use msn messenger, or downloading.

I checked virus and spyware, and I don't have any of those.

Can you know what the problem is? or is there many possible things can happened?

I have what I guess is a Me piggyback on 98 If that make any sense runnning IE I know should be on firefox Have zonealarm but now realizing that there isn't any continue support ...The programs says I'm not running any antivirus Yet have AVG all freeware versions **** NO MONEY *** and have spybot
AVG though never says it found and kill something Have Winpatrol on guard and he bark sometimes on startup file issues which I never change Zonealarm has stopped 9,000 in less than a month and Spybot number is about 87000 bots /// I'm a newbie with what I think is a inbalance confrigation have 98 and 2000 drivers and some 2.59 g(s) free All window files and all program and pic and what not on C with only 995 m left & if I try to fix right and if I kcuf it up, The hillbilies I live will Kill me. Why does my computer lag so bad after I haven't been on it for a long time (3-4 hours). It goes to the desktop and runs fine it's when I start a program like Firefox or something like that it takes soooo long for it to start running again how can I fix this and keep it from doing this again?
