this is what is says on the dvd burner : Writemaster TM ;; DVD MULTI Recorder ;; RW DVD+R DL ;; compact disc rewritable Ultra speed + . Im guessing "DL" stands for Dual layered which means i can burn with dual layered discs?

yes for now
later they comm'n out wit 8.4 gig witch is dual layer dvd
so yea mean times were hav'n fun wit hte 4.7
hope ur dvdburner support dual layer :D

by the way ur 4.7 dvd+r or dvd-r is NOT dual layer
dual layer is 8.4 gig using both sides!!!!!

If it says it can burn both DVD-R DL and DVD+R DL then yes it can do both dual layer formats. Most burners sold today can burn both standard 4.7GB DVD+R and -R discs.
