Like on ps2 or something, that's what I'm looking for.
My mom won't let me have the sims 2, but she'll let me have the expansion (I told her it has nothing to do with people)

AN expansion pak is just that .. it expands the original software. So no, you cant get just the expansion pak and have it work.
Also, if you are over 12 or so, I would highly recommend to your mom to let you have the sims. It is very educational. Have her email me at pynkgold@aim.com if you would like. I am an old gramma, lol ... my kids loved the original sims back in the 90's, and I think that the sims 2 is so much better even.

If you get the sims games for like playstation 2 or x box...you wont need an expansion. An expansion is for pc games only. You have to have sims 2 for pc and then and only then you can add an expansion. Honestly...i love the pc games so much better than the playstation 2 or other console games. But the downside to it is you need a computer that has enough memory and enough harddrive. So if you just want one that where you dont need an expansion....then get the ones on other consoles like playstation 2 or xbox for example. I hope that cleared that up for you and have fun!

you cant get a expansion pack unless you have sims 2. A expansion pack is a add on. The only games that dont come with expansion packs are the ones out on playstation 2 or xbox. But the ones for the pc are alot better in my opinion. But you have to have a computer that has the room and memory for it.

The Sims 2 Pets for Playstation 2 is coming out October 17, 2006. YOU DON'T NEED THE ORIGINAL GAME!!!
If you are talking for PC then yes you need the original, but I have to ask why would your mom say you can't have the sims 2 but you can have the sims 2 expansion packs. To me that doesn't make any sense so please message me the answer why?

well i saw a bunch of expansions at target, but they wont work unless you have the base ( sims 1 for sims 1 expansions, or sims 2 for sims 2 expanisions)

if you wanted to get it on the computer you would have to have the original game. on ps2 though, (and playstation, etc..) i think it's an entirely new game, so you can just buy it on its own.
