Can anyone out there tell me what a CD rom is? I am starting my ECDL on monday and the women said i need one and a USB drive (i know what that is). Someone said it was black dics, is this right and if so why would u need one of them and a USB drive?

Had system mechanic 6 on trial, it said my speed was good but whilst having the software on my pc. It slowed down programs and they kept being ended by windows explorer. And my pc took alot longer to start up anyone found any good alternatives?

I have a 19" W/S and a 17" normal screen hooked up to my computer and when I change the images in the control panel it either distorts one or the other. I presume this is because one is W/S and the other isnt. Is there a way around this or should I use 2 different pictures? if so how do I do it? Many thanks in anticipation of an answer.

I want to buy a mac computer but people say that "industry producers use MAC'S" But i have seen some use pc's. I was thinkin about geting a pc with a motherbored that supports 2 duo core proceserrs in one mother bored so its like having 4 of them, Or just geting a mac and keeping it simple
