First and foremost there are many good laptops out there now that being said both dell and apple have recently had massive recalls due to poor battries the batts were made by apples own sony corp. the most important thing when considering a laptop is portability. by that I mean how heavy is it. what size display does it have and other hardware configs does it have toshiba is a very good unit as well as dells Hp has a good unit under the compaq name.All that said the best advice I can offer is to start doing some research and then you decide.

I just bought a Dell back in June and I am not happy with it. If I had it to do over, I might explore Hewlett-Packard
Get as much info and opinions as you can. Any friends or relatives have computers? Ask them or teachers what they'd recommend.

i have Dell computer and laptop cuz theyre always got alot of new stuffs everyday and every year with bunch of new cool compan latop for lower prices and on the sale . i dont like apple computer cuse theyre too crappy and doesnt have so many sale and their speeds are too slow and old styles ones. . Dell has everything else .alike good prices for camera webcameras , cool shapes with flat screen online ..

Try HP. Dell's quality has been suffering as of late, and customer support sucks. HP is slightly more expensive, but greater quality overall. Sonys and Toshibas are excellent, if you can afford them. But again, HP combines price and capability.

dell seems to have the best prices, but sony or apply laptops are better if your not worried about money.
