how do i install ram on my sony laptop i have 512 but i want to add 512 does it simply plug in just want to know if it is something i can do myself

I have a flash disk and I'am using it always, what I do is just plug and unplug the flash disk without using the "safe remove hardware" by windows xp.

One of my friends told me that its unsafe for me to just unplug the flash disk because it will break my flash disk faster, question, is this true?

When I access "My Computer" (usually by using together the Flying Window and "E" keys together), to find files and folders, it takes 5 minutes + to load. All I see is the oscillating torch until it opens properly. I can access via a right click on START but the format I get this way is not as fast to use, as one has to roll up and down through the levels. The full "My Computer" window, when it works, gives an immediate visual of everything on the machine. Any thoughts out there on how to fix?

When I connect to the internet, I am fine to get into my homepage (yahoo) but then I can't seem to get anywhere other than a sites homepage, for example, i go into hotmail or ebay and can't get any further than the first page which comes up, this is happening with just about every site I try, i have turned off the computer and restarted it numerous times, and it still doesn't work. if i click on a link on any website, the little green bars along the bottom only go half way over about 5 minutes, and then i get a page saying i can't connect to that page, can anyone help me please. i work from home using the internet and this is costing me quite a lot.

i have to keep on holdin the button untill it turn off then back on isnt that bad for the computer and why does it do that after i plug on the wireless internet ive done a system restore but it still does it and it does it randomly sometymes after i turn it on sometimes after an hr. plz help im pissed
