thanks for all your answers it worked please can you help me with this, since this happened with the upsidedown screen, my text is too big for my computer, i have tried changing it on the view button to smallest text but it hasnt changed, any ideas please.

I've owned many computers over the years. Without fail, they slow down and perform at a fraction of what they did when new. Obviously being connected to the internet exposes the PC to viruses and adware yet, despite diligent scanning and cleaning, it eventually needs replacing. What's going on inside the PC that is causing it to become essentially obsolete within a few years?

I don't have any videos in my computer , i don't have a video converter( to record from TV/VCR onto your computer), I thought i did have videos laying around..clips or something.. but even if i do. they are seconds long..So what else can i record onto DVD r's?

I am currently doing applications support for desktops throughout our company's network for end users and am uncertain as to what I would like to do later.
All I know is I am not a fan of becoming a network engineer (cisco stuff). But would like to administrate a database or develope it at some point in my career.

What is recomended for me??

Ok, you've taken your snap; your happy with it and have saved it to its own little folder.

But when you go to use it on one of these wonderously easy to use trading sites, it tells you the pic has to be less than 500 kb.

How do you reduce the pic size?

this happened about 6 mths ago, but i ignored it due to my infrequent use.Now that I am using the D drive again, i realized it can only play DVDs
my laptop is : toshiba Satellite A80

my D drive is displayed in My Computers as: DVD-RAM (D:)
it uses MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-831S

the problem is that it doesnt detect the presence of CDs/ CDRs/VCDs when it is suposed to for all dics formats. I remembered using the D drive to read CD-Rs before and it was working then. I wonder if its due to wrong configuration settings?

I have tried troubleshooting the D drive, updating( there's no better updates available online ), but doesnt help.

i have tried scaning for hardware changes in Device Manager too. No use.
i have ticked 'Enabled Digital CD audio for this CD ROM device', but still its not able and states ' please enter a blank disc' when in fact the disc's inside.
even in my Windows Media Player i realized it indicates that no disc is detected in D drive.

my laptop is 1 yr+

my brother cleaned out my computer and said it isn't the disk going bad. once he wiped it clean and brought it back it was fine. but now its starting to go down the same route. i don't download anything out of the ordinary. why does it keep slowing down and how can i clean it up or fix it without wiping my computer again?
