My computer is slowing down. When i try to play music it is all choppy. processes take longer.?

my brother cleaned out my computer and said it isn't the disk going bad. once he wiped it clean and brought it back it was fine. but now its starting to go down the same route. i don't download anything out of the ordinary. why does it keep slowing down and how can i clean it up or fix it without wiping my computer again?

use your virus scan every day,defragg,clean out temp internet files/cookies and messages,use a spy ware scanner (i use Ad-Aware Se Personal..it is free)Good luck.

Sounds like your trying to do to much at once, to much happening at one time and your computer cant cope.Go to start>>control panel(classic view)>> system. Have a look at how much RAM you have. If its 256 or less its a good idea to get more. here is a link to help you http://www.crucial.com/

try playing the music on its own with other programs closed, that will be an indicator. If it is ok; then its probably a RAM upgrade that is required.
