I have a virus right now on my PC laptop, so right now I would say apple, even though you won't have as many programs available for apple as for a PC, like a sony. because apples practically never get viruses. If you do graphic design or movies or so, definately get an apple.

you're finding in any respect very comparable laptops. evaluate there have been some advancements over the final 3 years - and your older unit will possibly no longer have the battery that new ones might, outfitted in connectivity additionally? in case you pass improve, the VAIO has distinctive grades as does Dell - that pass from the iBook G4 to the recent Apple MAC - So do you like to spend $1400 or $2200? If that distinction isn't fabric, pass as much as that time VAIO/Dell/MAC - if no longer evaluate what different extras are substantial to you and how compatability from Apple is. What you do with this unit interior the sphere is substantial too - are you able to get via with a clean telephone?

Really that depends on what your personal preference is, and what kind of work you're doing. Apple Computers / laptops, use a different operating system than regular PC's. So as far as the personal preference goes, it all depends on what you're accustomed to. Chances are you've grown up in a windows based environment, meaning that it will probably take some time to get use to using Mac's due to all the differences in the software operates....... In reference to your work, it will depend on what type of things you want to do with your computer. Mac's are for the most part superior when it comes to photo / video editing, and most things art related. PC's are setup more as a "workhorse" so to speak. You can get the basic MS office programs for a mac, but its much more difficult to do the average work task on a mac, especially when you've grown up on windows based machines. Performance wise, you cant really compare them because they do different tasks, and dont use the same software. I do know however that it is hard to find repair centers that will work on macs, at least in rural areas like mine. I would suggest looking at both, and spending some time using both, and see what works best for you.

Apple. The only problem is that there is no support in smaller cities and I was forced to switch to a PC. People were stupid when IBM came out after the Macintosh. People bought the big name even through the Mac was better. Same with betamax and vhs. Betamax was much better.

each has some niches in which they perform better. Check out their capabilities. For example, architectural/drafting applications are better on apple. Not just because an apple is a sort of geometrical shape.
