It means they're signed into MySpace.
Sometimes it's a little behind, though. The person may have signed off and MySpace still has them listed as online.

its means they are signed on to myspace but sometimes people just stay signed on to myspace and aren't really on!

it means they are logged into their my space account. they may not be at the computer but they have logged into my space and have the window for it open.

It means they are logged in, and have been active in a certain amount of time (I'm guessing 30min-1hr)
