Unless your mouse gives you that capability, you cannot change settings to operate on one click. Look for the "specialty mouse" products. They usually come with a driver download and will enable you to create your own personal settings....such as "one click". Take care.

goto control panel - mouse........have a look in there, I know you can change the double click speed not sure about 1 click.....hope this helps a bit

If you set everything on your puter, ie, in your folders, and on your desktop to a setting which causes them to act like links on the web, you can do it with just one click.
But, that's an option in Folder Options, I do believe.
