when i try to go to lime wire, or bear share, or yahoo messenger, ot wont sign in cuz firewall, so i wana disconnect it, i tried going to control pannel, firewall turned of, but still when i go to lime wire it says theres a firewall.

so i wana disconnect it, do you know how?

dont come to tell me what to do with the programs, i just want to get the firewall out, yea i know fire walls portect your comp. but i wana get it out,

After I downloaded Windows live messenger I tried to open it. I got this message that said I didn't have winhttp.dll. What should I do about this? also, When I put my laptop on standby, it was fine. When I opened it, the screen kept changing colors. sometimes it's fine, sometimes it looks like it has a light blue screen in front of the actual screen, and sometimes it is a combination of the two with red dots. no one touched the screen or the computer while I was gone, and it has never done this before. HELP!

Let's suppose that I'm working on a computer, brought to me by the dead owner's family - they might have asked me to recover his mail, records, etc.
Now, let's suppose I find that he had a modest collection of downloaded porn - some dirty movies, but nothing like child porn or anything that might be considered illegal.
Here's the ethical dilemma.. should I just quietly delete the files, with a reassuring nod to the departed soul, or does his family need to get ALL his files... which is what I contracted to do. ?

I need to increase RAM so i can download a Pesttrap and Smithfraud removal applications; and also so that I can download openoffice and get rid of MS works 2000. Again, this must be freeware, since i have NO funds.

I tried something called memory booster; but when I attempted to open/install it said unable to initialize, file size is 715922, available 654418, and something ?? about Win32 Mode.

Folks, I'm in deeep if i can't resolve this. I need an online resource to download and increase available RAM. Please, your help is greatly needed and appreciated. Thanks.

I took documents and pictures from my "F" drive and put them on a cd. I now want to take all the "text" items and put them on a separate disk and just leave the images/photos but I can't delete the texts becase they're "Read Only". Any suggestions?

The first time, I tried taking the (plug-in) phone outside, with the door closed, but the echoe was there. The second show, I unplugged the speakers from my computer. That made no difference at all. The third show, I tried just turning down the volume to mute, that didn't work. The host, Dave, tells me to turn it down. I've explained to him the problem and I cannot figure out how to fix it. Any help is very much appreciated.

hello

i have recently downloaded a film which took me one week to download... its extension is .avi... when u rite click its properties, the file's size is about 724mb, but when using nero to transfer it whether on cdr or dvd+r, it asks me to put a disc with more space or 1 with higher capacity...(828MB), because when encoding the .avi to the cdr (80mins) or dvd+r (mpeg i supose).

in that case do you think i'll need a cdr or dvd+r of 90 mins...

please help me burn the .avi onto cdr or dvd+r
