Check the sound out with a pair on headphones - plugged in the front and the rear - if this works then your speakers are blown
if it doesn't you may have a problem with your sound card / chip
check your sound properties (as before)
right click on my computer then properties > hardware > device manager
click on the plus next for the sound and video - uninstall the sound chip / card - now go up to the ide ata/atapi controllers - right click on the primary ide channel and uninstall - restart the pc and when it prompts you again restart again
if this doesn't sort it you have a problem with you sound card/chip
hope this helps

swap all of your suspect ones, one by one contained in the plug of a lamp that you comprehend is operating. If the lamp works the fuse is nice. Throw away each and each of the former ones, and placed the unique decrease back into the lamp plug. merely remember to apply the astounding fuse score, regularly 13a brown and three amp purple, yet also 2/5/10 amp are available. make certain they're sturdy high quality, they might want to be marked BS1362, and the amperage. you are able to also purchase an straightforward fuse tester in maximum electric powered shops or Maplins, in basic terms about £2.00

plug your speaker feed jack in to a know working system IE a stereo and if they are working ok they should produce some noise if that is the case. Then uninstall your sound card and reinstall and that should do the trick. If it does then your sound probably has a fault on it.

Have you tried a different set of speakers? The speakers themselves may be bad. Borrow a firends and see if you get sound. If so, buy new speakers.
