Do these steps to improve your computers performance:

1) Go to MY COMPUTER and right click on your C drive. Then click on PROPERTIES and then in that properties menu, do a disk cleanup.

2) Then do a disk compression and compress your entire c drive.

3) Then do a disk defragment and it will organize your computer files so that it will be easier for your computer to find your files.

4) Then go to Start menu and then go to RUN. Type msconfig and hit enter. It will popup a window. Go to the startup tab and uncheck all the programs you dont want running in your background that is going to startup when you restart windows. Only leave the ones that you recognize.

If you install more RAMS, it will improve your computers performance dramatically. If you have less than 256MB of memory, you might want to upgrade.

Try disabling the real time virus shield that runs in the back ground.
Due to the large number of viruses the signature files are so large that it bogs down everytime a file is scanned during access.
You can disable the real time virus scanning but still run periodic scans on demand .

Computer Slow

Download and then run startup.exe at:

http://www.mlin.net/startupcpl.shtml......

Can't live without it and windows...

Then disable and/or uninstall whatever u don't need.

Other things to try:

1 - Disk Cleanup (removal of temp files, cookies, etc.)
2 - Defrag
3 - Registry Cleanup (CAN BE VERY RISKY!)
