If you didn't burn it as RW...Copy all the pictures back to a special folder on the hard drive then re-burn a CD with only the images.
Extra note..when ever you burn to a CD-R it will automatically make the file attribute Read Only...because that's all you can do from a CD-R. If you copy them back to a hard drive they will still be read only. If want to change anything with the picture or file, you'll have to remove the Read Only attribute by right clicking on the file ...select properties..and uncheck Read Only. If you have a ton of pictures, you can select all and change the attribute to all at one time by the same process.

Unfortunately, a CD-R is a "one time use" disk. Once you have written to it, you can not change the contents. You can make a copy of the files from the first CD to a second, but you can not remove them from the first CD. That is how CD-Rs work.
Now they do make more expensive CD's called CD-RW (for Re-Write). Your software burning program should allow you to format a CD-RW as if it is a giant floppy disk, so you can put files on take files off, change the files, etc. just you can with a floppy disk. The one-time formatting process atakes about 20 minutes a CD-RW.

it actually depends on wat burn program u used to burn the CD, and most program will give u the option to make it read-only or not. If not, since u r only trying to move a file frm 1 source to another, then i believe using thumbdrive might b a better option.

You can't delete files from a CD, esp. if it's a CDR. A re-writable CD is a different story.

CD-Rs are read-only -- once you burn them, that's it, you can't change them (unless it is a CD-RW).

If you wrote to a CD rewritable, you can erase anything on it. If you didn't, they are permanent.
