I just upgraded from firefox 2.0.0.4 with a boatload of extensions. once I upgraded, however all of the addons and extensions said "this extension will be installed once firefox is restarted" so I restarted it and the same message came up. so I tried rebooting, and got the same thing. after getting the same problem after reinstalling all of my extensions, I tried pulling the RAM out (whatever good that'll do. I figured some firefox data was stuck on there somehow) same thing (obviously.) I have seen nearly 20 people with the same problem. if someone out there has found a fix for it, please tell me.

could someone pleaseeeee tell me how to get rid of it!! i've been trying for about 1 hour and i've looked in add/remove programs and it's not there. what would it be listed under in add/remove programs?? and is there any other way to get rid of it??? thanks!!!

I ask this because I have heard some horror stories from students who were caught using their email via the programs the school monitors the computers with. So, if I use their internet, with my own personal computer, will they be able to see that I went to yahoo email? I'm mostly concerned about the factor of sharing their IP.

my company uses a hardline to connect to the internet for the pc's but they also have an unsecured wireless labeled guests. i surf the net via my personal laptop using the guest wireless connection. is the company still able to track what i surf from my laptop?

this happens everytime...no matter the size of the file. on nero, it wants to use all of the dvd space, so if i want to burn more movies on one dvd i can't. any help? thanks.

I just did some repairs on my system; installed a new external LAN card, new motherboard and repaired the system files. Also, updated my Windows OS, Java console and Norton antivirus.

Somehow that deleted my IE 7.0 browser and I am unable to reinstall it. The main problem right now: I am unable to use the browser normally. Whenever some URL is entered, it automatically opens a new window (instead of opening in the same browser) and thereby, hangs the browser. The same problem is repeated when I have to open a pop-up window.

What seems to be the problem? Any good guesses :)

I have a Dell PC with Windows XP.
I sometimes use Internet Explorer and sometimes use Mozilla Firefox browsers.
Anyway, my problem is that once my PC is turned on and ready to go, I get a warning that varous things have encountered problems and need to close. These warnings are all for different things and they pop up every few seconds and NEVER stop. If I click 'send report' or 'do not send report', they still keep popping up.
The warnings mostly mention Mcafee things like the redirector, the site advisor, etc, but also internet explorer browser. I've tried to uninstall Mcafee security going through start, control panel,add/remove programs, but the PC says "not able to remove all of Mcafee".
I've also done a Webroot Spy check and Quarantined 10 items, but it didn't help either.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We have Web blocker on our work computers. I like to listen to web radio but can only get a few stations. The rest are blocked by Web blocker. Can anyone else tell me of some other stations I might be able to get in? They have to be in streaming audio from what I found out on my own.

prescription meds, or stocks.... none of these are things that I am interested in, I spam them every time yet they keep coming. I have gone on the sites and done the removal thing, but I just get the same thing from a different (but looks to be related) site. I got one this morning that said "Your penis is like a toy, penis enlargement is the answer" What if my kids were to see it?? Any ideas how to get these to stop??
