it's fake if they want to post to africa.
They send you payment for it then stop the payment when you have posted the item.

Lots of people think that posting to Africa is probably a con... not sure how it can be if you get their money up-front and make sure it's cleared through before you send.

If they want you to use escrow it's probably a con. The escrow company may well not be genuine.

Don't forget that accepting foreign money is a costly business... it cost me about £30 to clear a US cheque for $100.

its a con do not sell your item to these people, I had one asking me to send my phone to nigeria and they will pay me £100 more than the phone was on sale for, I almost fell for it but glad I didn't as they had no intention of paying.

As long as people pay you via something like Paypal before you dispatch the order then you should be fine, I often receive emails from Africans asking me to send before they pay! obviously don't do this!

Report anything to Ebay that you find suspicious

I wouldn't post anything unless they give a payment. General inquiries about mailing would be o.k., though. Be prepared to block the source of these messages, though.

Check out their location on ebay - like their address. Plus check out their feedback and see if they have had any problems from other ebay users.

If in doubt, just tell them that you cannot post it out of the UK due to customs and excise rules and regulations. Tell them that you don't have a business that exports to international addresses.
