How do I install/uninstall Internet Explorer 7?

Install Internet Explorer 7

If you're running Internet Explorer 6, or a beta version or RC1 of Internet Explorer 7*

Select the appropriate version of Internet Explorer 7 for your operating system.

Follow the onscreen instructions for installation.

* Pre-release versions of Internet Explorer 7 will automatically uninstall as part of the final release installation process.

To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 to return to Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP

Click "Start," and then click "Control Panel."

Click "Add or Remove Programs."

Check "Show Updates" at the top of the dialog box.

Scroll down the list and highlight the version of Internet Explorer 7 that you are running, and then click "Change/Remove." (If you are running Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview — March 20 or later, it is not necessary to check "Show Updates.")

Select the appropriate version of Internet Explorer 7 for your operating system.

Once you remove it, it reverts back to version 6, I have done it, it works.

It's listed as Windows Internet Explorer 7 and because it's alphabetical it's near the bottom.

I certainly have a a table good and a working laptop or computing gadget. the two are somewhat older than a year previous, the two have XP expert. Explorer 7 works great on them. yet some people older structures utilizing XP have stated issues of the hot version. in case you're able to desire to attempt a browser with very comparable useful components as Explorer 7 try Firefox.

You cannot delete it or demote to a previous version of it. It isn't just a part of software, there is some hardware on your motherboard that are attached to it.

The only way that I believe you might be able to suspend it is if you use a Windows installation disk. This is NOT advised as you will probably have to delete Windows in order to do this.

Do not attempt to delete Windows in less you are confident with what you are doing.

since iexplorer is part of windows you might not be able to.. but you can go to add/remove programs and on the left side, click add/remove windows components and internet explorer is listed there, if you can't remove it, check the box, hit next and you might be able to disable it.

seems like you can't really do that without doing substantial damage to windows itself.
Y not u use Firefox or Opera & configure all your related files to open using those instead?
Or u really need IE6 isit?
then you may have to consider a HDD format....
