I just upgraded from firefox 2.0.0.4 with a boatload of extensions. once I upgraded, however all of the addons and extensions said "this extension will be installed once firefox is restarted" so I restarted it and the same message came up. so I tried rebooting, and got the same thing. after getting the same problem after reinstalling all of my extensions, I tried pulling the RAM out (whatever good that'll do. I figured some firefox data was stuck on there somehow) same thing (obviously.) I have seen nearly 20 people with the same problem. if someone out there has found a fix for it, please tell me.

thanks!

I'm running 2.0.0.5 and have never seen the problem. don't you hate upgrades?
I always uninstall the old and then install the new ones

Very simplr..i just had the exact same problem today..all you do is after it says to restart it...just go up and click on the red x choose the close all tabs choice and then from your desktop hit the firefox shortcut there and when it pops up your new addon will be there..
