Being told I am running too many 16 bit files. What does this mean please? What are 16 bit files?

I made a good living on ebay from 2003 to 2005. I specialized in vintage items. After ebay bought PayPal, they seem to get greedy. Fees increased, costs for posting photos increased.
Buyers paying through PayPal could file a complaint against you and tie up your account for 6 weeks.
Finally I just got fed up and quit all together.

I miss selling on ebay and am thinking about going back into it but thought I would get opinions first.

Dear Friends,
Although I am savvy on the net, I have no clue on how to set up my new computer for "legal" internet service. Do I need a router, a card, etc. My computer is "Wi-Fi" capable (whatever that means). Thanks so much.

Hey

I'm making a small auctions website for my University as part of my final year computing project. One aspect of the site that I have so far overlooked is the Terms and Conditions that the site will require. Law is not my speciality and as a student, I cannot afford to pay a lawyer £300 to create a custom set of terms and conditions for my site.

Do you know anywhere I can get some general terms and conditions for my site that covers me from as much liability as possible in Scotland, and makes users responsible for using the site in a legal manner etc.

I see so many websites online, do all the people that create it have to pay for host and domain and everything. I mean I see so many useless websites but they still pay for it? How come I hear like anyonce can do it, even teenagers and everything, so the teenagers pay for it too? (I'm not talking about those free website host like www.freewebs.com or anything)

I use Firefox as my browser, but I still have Internet Explorer on my computer. Do I need to install all of the Windows updates and Service Pack 2, even though I won't be using IE as my browser?

I have Internet Explorer as a Browser, But when I open certain programs on my PC to download updates, it opens up in a Netscape Browser. I would like to only use IE. Is there a simple way that I can configure this? Do I need 2 Browsers?

I can't get high speed internet where I live (Except by satellite which is MUCH more expensive than anything else). My only other alternative to dial up is wireless broadband through Sprint or Verizon. I found a place that offers it for $50 a month and say they can give me speeds of 500k-1.5M. I was wondering if anyone actually has Sprint wireless broadband and what speed they really get.

Well I live in a terrible spot. Its in the middle of no where and i cannot get good internet. These days there has to be a way to do it but. I have dial up which is bad for me when i play many online games. I have been looking at other types like broadband cable ect. called different companies and they all said that i cannot get it. i looked at satalite i can get it but it is expensive and unless able to find really good deal cannot ge tit. Is ther any other companies that supply fast internet that may apply to me? please help

well... around three days ago my interenet just shut off. it was working fine at 1 or 2 in the morning, but now it's just not working. i call my isp and they tell me that i have exceeded my downloading limit (only TEN freaken gigs) and it wont be back up for another month or so due to us going over. i want to know if there's a way around it because my internet speed has been killed 99.9999994% from what i was running before. it's pretty much like i don't have interent at all. and like.. is there a way to configure my setting through my router or any other way that'll get me connected back to the internet? like.. a way to bypass their block on me...

oh, and is there a way to kill certain ports or ip's running off the same router in the same house? i was looking at my router settings and it seemed as if i could, but i didn't want to mess with anything. i would really like to know =D

I am planning on getting a laptop in the next few weeks and was just wondering about built in wireless. Does it mean i wont have to stick a plug in it like my PC. Will the internet just automatically come up on the laptop?? Do u pay monthly still like you do with AOL, Tiscali etc? Does my house have to have a phone line for the internet to be able to work? Also Im in the US. Does it make a difference when I go back to the UK? If I have to pay monthly will it still keep coming out of my american debit card? Any information you can give will be very helpful.

Also recommend any good laptops? Not overly expensive but reasonable.

I don't use Internet Explorer because it would just close out on me for no reason when i was in the middle of stuff. So now I use Ace Explorer... but Internet Explorer keeps giving me crazy pop ups and they won't stop. In order to even use my computer I have to run in safe mode. How do i get rid of these pop ups? Please help, I can't afford a new comp and I have alot of school work to do and I can't do it with my computer being crazy!!

ok firefox is being a *****!

yesterday i instald the update's,
today I have found that it has chaged theme and lost all my bookmarks and toolbars.

this is not the 1st time it hase done this to me. and frankly im getting so angry having to ask my Dad to fix it..

so.. can some one tell me how to import my bookmarks (and where im likely to find them)

and how to get my toolbar's back...
