Internet Explorer is Microsoft's internet browser, yahoo is a website, and comcast is an ISP (Internet Service Provider).

An some point or another you have downloaded Yahoo toolbar or some other Yahoo add in that has changed your registry to show "Windows Internet Explorer Provided by Yahoo."

It means nothing really.

Ditto the above... Even though you may have Comcast, you can switch to Firefox. And even though you may have Comcast AND Yahoo! you may switch to Firefox. And in either case you could also switch to Opera or Safari or Avant or...whatever...or all three, off and on...at various times...as you wish....and with Comcast, you can use Yahoo! with Google search engine too!
