Hey

I'm making a small auctions website for my University as part of my final year computing project. One aspect of the site that I have so far overlooked is the Terms and Conditions that the site will require. Law is not my speciality and as a student, I cannot afford to pay a lawyer £300 to create a custom set of terms and conditions for my site.

Do you know anywhere I can get some general terms and conditions for my site that covers me from as much liability as possible in Scotland, and makes users responsible for using the site in a legal manner etc.

Many thanks

Glen

If this is part of a school project, ask your professor for a contact in the legal department. Maybe you could get in touch with one of their students to write this for you.

If this site is intended to be operational, you may even be able to use the school's lawyers as I'm sure they would have an interest in protecting itself.

Join ebay they have a terms and condition page, I dont think you could copy it word for word but you may get the general jist. Good luck with your finals.
