I can't get high speed internet where I live (Except by satellite which is MUCH more expensive than anything else). My only other alternative to dial up is wireless broadband through Sprint or Verizon. I found a place that offers it for $50 a month and say they can give me speeds of 500k-1.5M. I was wondering if anyone actually has Sprint wireless broadband and what speed they really get.

My parents are in a similar situation (they have to pay $40/month for dialup or $90/month for slow dsl compliments of the local independent telephone company monopoly) so I was also checking into wireless plans via cell phone. If you can't get broadband at your home, then chances are Sprints network is only going to be about 50kbps (slower than dialup) where you live. If you live in a larger city (I live in Minneapolis) you can get up to the 1.5M but I personally think the network is oversubscribed so you don't really get all that great of a connection.
