I have Internet Explorer as a Browser, But when I open certain programs on my PC to download updates, it opens up in a Netscape Browser. I would like to only use IE. Is there a simple way that I can configure this? Do I need 2 Browsers?

Netscape is awful and you're one of the 1.6% that still has it on their computer. If you want something safe, use firefox. if you wan't something functional, use IE! Uninstall Netscape regardless. If you have some reason for keeping it:

Open netscape, open the options, tell it to check if netscape is the default browser. click OK.

open Internet explorer, click tools, then internet options. Click the programs tab. under default web browser, click make default and check the box that says "tell me if IE is not the default web browser"

Open netscape, tell it not to ask about default browsers and make sure to click no!

Go Start->Settings->Control Panel and double click Add/Remove Programs. Look for Netscape and delete it by selecting and click uninstall. If it isn't there then stay in Control Panel and double click Internet Options and make Internet Explorer the default browser.

You probably need to make IE ur default browser:
1. Open Control Panel and double-click Internet Options.
2. Click the Programs tab.
3. Click to select the Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser check box.
4. Click OK.
5. Start Internet Explorer and when you are prompted to make it the default browser, click Yes.

there is no reason to have to use two browsers. netscape is set as the default browser go to start control panel and internet option. there should be a tab called programs and it should have what your looking for

You can uninstall the netscape if you want. By first going to control panel then change or delete prgrams and then you look in the list for the netscape browser, click on it and then choose uninstall.
