Pick and choose If I want someone's comments posted about me??

When someone sends me a comment it outomatically goes on my page. I want to be able to screen them before they show up on my page.

I got a call for my phone company saying that they setup my line for DSL. So what should I do now? Do I go out and buy a modem and an ISP card? If so, is it easy to install the modem on my own?

And would anyone please explain to me what a router and everything is. Also, what's the difference between DSL and cable ..?

really lost here... I'd appreciate any answer..

Is it possible for a Myspace account to be opened for you without your knowledge? I have an account, and when I set it up, it asked for details like your email, a password, your birthdate, etc. The reason I ask is because I did a search on someone, and I found them (the correct city, age, name, everything), but there was no other info in their account (like friends, about me, or schools). When I talked to this person, I mentioned it and they said that they never set an account up, but maybe one was automatically set up with their information. I don't think this is possible, but I thought I'd check. Thanks!

I want to change my (hotmail) email address. Only thing iss.. i don't want the '.co.uk' at the end of it. I prefer my '.com.'

I recently started dsl and phone line with the "new" sbc / at&t, long story short they outright lied to me many times, including when i first called them about getting dsl with them and told them i needed it up and active, accessible within the week as i have college classes which require i have internet access at home, and they said they would have it active for me within 3-5 days. So they did not, they "lost" my order several times,i called back and was put on the sbc at&t phone shuffle from dept to dept to dept to dept to agent to rep ... for usually over an hour and to wrong depts, finding out id been lied to numerous times by various reps @ activation date, status of my order, cost of my orders...finallly arrived and activation date was late...now that i have service - its the absolute worst connection ive ever had! DSL constantly drops at least twice every day i have to restart computer, they now charge to talk to rep @ their bugs... How to hold them accountable?

Right guys this continues from the topic: "Are BT Having Fun Regarding BT Home Hub?"

Well i got on the phone this time to sutomer services in the UK, and they gave me the number to the tech team up in newcastle to ring, which I did. The guy made me run speedtests AGAIN! and came up with the solution that someone was leaching my internet through wireless. So told me to use the ethernet cable so i did on both pc's and the speed was not that good but okish, i wasent have line drops or stand stills when browsing. My speedtest showed i was getting 3mb connection and they said they could only send a ADSL engineer if my line was @ 2.8mb 200 odd kb diffrence lol.

I'v been told to use the ethernet for a day and also change my wep key which I did, then i got fed up of the bt home hub and used my new netgear DG834 router and WN511B card. My speed doesnt seem to be droping much but its still very slow.

I use Gmail and I actually enjoy using it. I only use it to sign up for things as Instant Messenger and Myspace is the way to go if you want to communicate.

But I think Gmail's good, but I don't really have any use for it instead of signing up for stuff but when i'm older, i'm sure it'll be good use.

I once used a 3MB e-mail service, a kind of e-mail that made you make your own "email" thing and it lasted for probably a year or a few months and it was decent.

So tell me, what do you prefer?

I know that a .com extension usually indicates a "commercial" site, and .org would probably indicate an organization - something other than commercial. But what does ".us" indicate?

I have used Incredimail for a while now, but have been advised that it is an unsafe program.

So I wish to transfer all emails to Microsoft Outlook. And set up an email account there.

What I get stuck on is the POP3 and SMTP settings. I have tried putting the same ones in as Incredimail has. But it doesn't seem to work...

I'm with BTinternet if this helps.

I had Charter cable's 10 meg service and was getting 1.5-1.7 meg on the speakeasy speed test.I switched over to Embarq/Sprint 5 meg Dsl and my speeds are 1.1 meg.I have checked my Pc over good,ran anti-virus and spyware scanners,defragged the hd,got rid of temp files and cookies.I also run a program called System mechanic 7 that says my pc is good to go.
The tech service guy at Embarq told me I should be seeing at least 3.0 megs on my speed test,but Iam not even getting half of that.I do have a filter on the line going into the dsl modem.What could be wrong ????

The desktop on my computer has not changed the size of it's icons. But for some reason everytime I open internet explorer, no matter what page I visit, EVERYTHING is 5 times it's normal size and it doesn't all fit in the window. HELP how do I fix this?

I want to take part in banner exchanges, but don't have a lot of room for the larger (468x60) banners. Are there any banner exchanges out there for smaller sized banners, like those that will fit in side collumns? 125x125 or smaller is what I'm looking for.


('m not looking for link exchanges--only banners/buttons.)
