I live in a NYC apartment. There are two apartments in our building, a 5 person (mine) and a 3 person. Unfortunately, the building has only one cable input for us to share (it is in our room and we run a connection to theirs). Thus, there are 8 computers hooked up to the same connection.

Obviously it is slower than typical, but we've been dealing with insanely slow speeds (10 kb/s and lower). We believe this is largely due to the kids in the other apartment downloading files and playing online games. It's really becoming a pain to deal with.

Anyone have any suggestions on steps to take that don't involve starting a war with the opposing apartment?

any window i open and click on the red "X" top right hand corner, int. exp. encounters a problem and needs to close. send error report or not, doesn't matter or help. what's the deal with firefox, free to download? will i lose data in my laptop if i change int. carriers? what about interent connections, will i have to reset them?

Websites i am like really BORED no its not for me its for my little sister she wants to go on a website that is like 'Millsberry' where you can make up a actuall person and you feed them and they have a home thanks everybody if you help (and by the way if you dont know any like that then maybe some other fun websites that a 9 year old would like!!!)

Some answer community participants disable their incoming email function so others cannot respond to their "questions" or "comments". This is a cowardly way of hit and run, without getting the other end of the spectrum. If you want the true imact of what you say on "answers", enable your email function so the rest of us can reply to your (sometimes ignorant) "comments" and "questions". Though you may get hit with hundreds of emails, and you can't respond to all of them-- it's quite enlightening and at times amusing. (you can always disable it and shrink back into your corner). -- take the gloves off and stand up for what you say. Enable your incoming email function!

I created a new account in my windows XP Prof and deleted the old account and its files ! (After I removed the virus brontok.A)

Is there a cache that never updates? I see the same things, like clockwork over and over again and again and again..as if to be recycled. Just when I think it is evolving, searches that should be modern, are back in time! like ground hog day over and over. Is it my verizon internet? what does this? I have even contemplated scrapping the higher speed account because of it...playing tricks on my mind!
