ok. it will take a couple of things...
first of all...
the things you want to sell (clothes, i think), you should have all your prices ready and you should have photos of them.
you should have ready contacts... email, telephone, etc.
then you need a GOOD website developer (i'm actually a website developer!). When i say "developer", i don't mean a website "designer". The designer will give the looks and most of the time... that's all! the developer can give you the looks and the FUNCTIONALITY! get a good DEVELOPER!
work closely with the developer: the website will have to showcase all products you have in their various categories and verieties... with prices, discounts, payment methods, shipping, etc. the developer will also ensure that online transactions are possible.
get a dedicated phone line, for telephone credit card payments. work with your developer to get a good online merchant account (paypal is a good one).
then i guess that about it.
next, after all you need is in place... write a BUSINESS PLAN! if you're too lazy for that, then do SOME planning, at least!

monthly: Web hosting fee
Domain Name fee: every few years
Website deign: pay some one to do it(professional )or do your self
transation fee: Paypal, or other service
usually you got order from Email if you use paypal,
if you have people call a number on you website, then you get order from phone. But it's nice to have a 1800 number

Question to you is what do u want to sell? You could use ebay to sell, need paypal account all good and safe. About your own website domain service price range all different you need to look for one. One time fee for every year or 2 years depends again which company you get.
