not really necessary....Spyware is for microsoft users

only 1 or 2 ppl use macs....so spyware/virus makers dont bother to spend time programming viruses, spyware.....they instead make for microsoft, the more popular and better

If you're a virus-writer or a spywre-writer, your goal is to affect the most users as possible. With that in mind, you're going to target PC users since they make up the vast, vast majority of all computer users.

Crude comparision, but think of a suicide bomber. He doesn't walk out in the middle of the desert and blow himself up, does he? Of course not. He walks into a crowd of people. Same concept.

No, none cares to develop spyware for an OS that only two or three people use.

Spyware, not really, at least not yet, Viruses do exist though.

yes. MACs don;t get as infected becasue they are a less popular O/S. hacker want the biggest bang for their buck, and they design for th ebiggest target (i.e. windows). you should still run anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewall for a MAC
