I have a Lexmark 603 printer and yesterday when i replaced the black ink cartridge it now only prints blank pages. I cannot even do a test page or nothing. I really need to fix this problem TODAY as my son as to print out his assignment over the w/end. Thanks in advance for any help.

Do you guys recommend using a 3rd party compatible toner or a geninue one? Do they work the same? I know there is a huge price difference. Just wondering which one I should buy.

Everytime i try to print something, i get an error message asking "there was an error on the scrip of the page" "would you like to continue the scrips on this page?" when i press yes it keeps coming up and wouldn't stop...can someone help me with this please??

By bad, I mean lines in the pics and off colors. Would replacing the print heads solve this problem ? Its about 3 yrs old and I know I can replace it for under $100, but the print heads are only about $12 a piece and it only needs 2. Thanks in advance.

This message came up when I tried to print. "There was an error writing to USB002 for this printer. The network printer is no longer available." What in the world does this mean? I was working perfectly before?

I am trying to help someone with their mac. He bought a new printer and it will not work with the old mac he has. I believe it is a version 9. something. I am not familiar with macs at all. When trying to install the printer it says that it will only work with mac os 10 or higher. Is there anyway around this?

Hello again:

Someone gave me a printer that may work but the off and on switch is broken. I looked inside and a pin seems to be away from its original position. The printer is an IBM 4029. I know this is an old model printer but I had one some time ago and it printed fantastically. So much so, that when it printed, the characters were raised from the sheet of paper and they were crystal clear.

My question is, if the off and on switch is broken, does that mean the printer is broken too?

Is there a way I can fix the switch myself?

I am thinking of either a brother or a canon. The cost of the ink is more of a consideration rather than the cost of the printer. Any advice on the cheapest way to get the ink for it aswell would be good.

I have a Lexmark 1180, never been happy with it the ink just runs away, and soon as it gets low no more printing? I don't mind the price £14 to£16 each black/colour but you expect a descent output for this money. also I want to start printing pictures, so please help, and I'm afraid that I'm also a beginner (novice) thanks if anyone sends me an answer.

I bought a Lexmark P6250 all in one printer and I am not happy with it and thus want to buy a new one. Can someone recommend a good all in one printer (less than £100) that allows for the refilling of ink cartridges, and whereby new ink cartridges are relatively cheap? The ink cartridges for my current printer do not allow for refilling, the ink goes really quickly even when I set it on quick print, and they cost a fortune to replace (£23 for a black ink cartridge). It is a complete rip off!!

when I put it in the printer the display on my printer says the ink cartridge is empty. Why is this??

Furthermore, when I print it is not printing properly. Some parts print fine and others print faded - It is basically streaky. I cleaned the printer head of the cartridge using the solution provided and I have run the "fix horizintal streaks" on my printer, and have also run some other maintenances but it doesn't seem to have fixed the problem. This is the first time I refilled this ink cartridge so I know the printer head is not damaged. Anyone have any suggestions??

I have a Lexmark X1180 printer/scanner which works very well for everything except photos. All my colour photos come out different shades of purple - could this be because I am not using Lexmark cartridges? I am loath to change them as the colour is nearly full and the black is 3/4 full. This has been happening for sometime now and is so frustrating!
