I have a Lexmark 603 printer and yesterday when i replaced the black ink cartridge it now only prints blank pages. I cannot even do a test page or nothing. I really need to fix this problem TODAY as my son as to print out his assignment over the w/end. Thanks in advance for any help.

The printer actually came with the computer when we brought it nearly three years ago and this is the first time that we have had any probs with it.

Restart your computer and try reprinting the document again. If that doesn't work you might need to re-install the driver for the printer. The link is below, just select your operating system (xp, win 2000, etc) and download the driver.

If that doesn't work then the printer might not be compatible with your operating system. Hope this helps you out!

I would really recommend upgrading printers, I've had very bad luck with Lexmarks, and I've heard some bad things about them. I'd really recommend a Hewlett-Packard printer, they're pretty in expensive.

take the cart out, set the cart's ink port in a shallow dish of hot tap water for a minute or so. take it out and gently tap the ink port to a paper towel to remove excess water.

re-install and try to print again. if this doesn't work you may need to get a new cartridge.
