Having cleaned the print head and checked head alignment as per instrucions still cannot get a decent photo print.,this does not occur on ordinary paper

I would like to find a monochrome laser printer that has a reasonble retail price (hopefully less than $450). More important, though, are the cost of supplies and how often they will need to be replaced. Is there a printer for which you can simply add toner rather than replace drums and cartridges? I would like a printer that is rated for at least 15,000 pages per month. Any suggestions and comparisons will be appreciated!

I have these happy bunny things I copy and pasted from the internet. I want to print them out, but my printer doesn't print in color. How can I make them with out color? ( a.k.a. looking like coloring pages) ( not that im coloring them) Please help me i'm DESP8!!!

I have a Canon Pixma MP170 (maybe only sold in Australia?), and have read that it probably isn't compatible to print direct onto CD. Is it still possible for me to print onto those printable discs if I have the software (eg Nero)?

Is there anyway to use a Mac with OSX and a HP Laserjet 1000? There are no drivers on the HP site, and from what Google has told me, there never were any.
Some sites said that there were third-party versions, but I can't find any. Thanks

In my home I have one computer in the computer room hooked up to the all-in-one printer. A room-mate has a computer in his room and we bought a hand-wired router, not wireless and we have the internet hooked up to his computer through the router. How can I set it up so he can print things out on the computer in the main computer room? In a nutshell, how can you use 2 hand-wired routed internet computer to print off one printer? I have a lexmark Z603 inkjet printer. the problem is that the printer prints a blank sheet though the catridges are filled and installed properly. Also the port is ok.
can any techie help me out?

its a Windows Vista Home Premium. Well my old printer doesnt seem to go with it. Its a hpdeskjet 960c and there is no place in the back for it to be plugged in. What printer should i buy that will be compatible?

any other tips or suggestions for working with a windows vista would be helpful too...and please dont tell me that vista sucks.
