Hopefully if it's a nice new printer you should have got an A3 sheet with it showing you the steps to take to install it, install the printer cartridges and how to connect it to your computer. I bought a Lexmark from Tesco's about a year ago. It looked new, but was obviously a return when I got it home and opened it, just to find the printer in it and nothing else!

It's been a while since I've heard of any problem like that. What I would do is go into your Control Panel, remove the printer from your system under the "Printers" menu, and then go to lexmark.com and download new drivers. Then, install the new drivers. That should fix things.

How old is it? I had a Lexmark printer for 3 months and it did the exact same thing. Buy Epson or HP when it comes to printers, I think.

Similar thing happened with my Epson printer. Unless your printer is under warranty, consider purchasing a new printer. The cost to repair will easily surpass that of a new printer. Unfortunate the cost of labor versus a new device.

throw it away. I had 2 and both did the same thing. They are a waste of money.

try unplugging all the wiring then reconnect. you could just have loose wires. at least i would start with this and if that doesn't work then try something else.
