I want to do it in my instant messenger. I can see my contact photo when I send & receive mail

Download your picture to your computer ( from your camera/card/ whatever) and store it ( usually in "My Photos" ).
Open your Instant Messenger and edit your profile which will include the picture. In that window will, no doubt, be an option to "browse". Take that option and navigate to your "My Photos" file, select the required picture. That will then become your posted photo.

I don't think you can upload your picture with a printer, all a printer do is just print out stuff. If you want to upload your picture, I would suggest, as other already have, upload your picture by use of some flash memory card or CD-Rom. If you don't already have a digital photo of yourself, use a scanner and scan it to jpeg. If you don't have a scanner then you can go to Wal-Mart or Kmart or Rite Aid and have them scan then convert your picture into digital format. They can even do some Photoshop editing if you're willing to pay a little.

Hi. You don't use a printer for that. Edit your profile and add your picture from there.
