I have a Lexmark 1180, never been happy with it the ink just runs away, and soon as it gets low no more printing? I don't mind the price £14 to£16 each black/colour but you expect a descent output for this money. also I want to start printing pictures, so please help, and I'm afraid that I'm also a beginner (novice) thanks if anyone sends me an answer.

I wouldn't bother with an all in one as they can't do the job properly. I had one and gave up on it and got an Epson R300 that will print CDs and also a HP scanner that will scan and copy also with the bonus that it will scan photo negatives.
