My LCD synaps monitor needs a refresh setting of 65. Since this is not an option I tried 75 and the monitor flickers. I tried 60 and their seems to be interference on the screen (it twitches). I went to Dell's website and updated my BIOS and I reinstalled my video adapter. I couldn't even find a website for synaps to downlaod a driver from there. Why doesn't my computer have 65 Hertz as an option? I'm a little frustrated. Can anyone help? Thanks.

What is the difference between a DVI and a VGA cable? I got both cables when I bought my computer screen for my XPS 410 Desktop. I have a 22" Dell E228WFP LCD Monitor. Which cord should I use to connect to the computer the DVI or VGA? Any help would be nice.

I heard that CRT monitors paired in a dual monitor array can flicker due to alternating frequencies in the two monitors, and it's better to pair LCD-LCD

Also, that the frequency of the display on a CRT is different from that of an LCD making it so pairing a LCD with a CRT can cause eye strain.

Is there any information about this, either confirming or denying?

Any information will be helpful, and if you can provide links to inforamtion on the web from reputable sources, that would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys.

I have a K8NS pro Motherboard with an Athalon 64 3000 2.1gb processor, 1 gig ram, Geoforce 7600GS agp graphics card and a new Hannstar AH191 widescreen 19" monitor, all run under XP.

It is linked up to the monitor via VGA and DVI. The VGA display is fine, but when I switch the monitor over to Digital, the background is there, and nothing else. Not taskbar or icons at all.

If I right click, the pop up menue appears, but nothing I select appears.

Can anyone advise on this please?

Thanks.

Seth.

I just purchased this monitor: https://topcomsys.com/ecomm/images/LCD-Acer-AL2223WD.gif

It's nice but the quality of the picture isn't all that. Since this has no dvi connection but just vga I want to know whether upgrading my current graphics card would improve picture quality.

I have just had to buy a new digital camera - it's a canon ixus 70 and has to have stuff installed to work (not just the cable which is really annoying - is there any way around that too?) Anyway, it's fine on my laptop but won't install on my Mum's comp because it says there is not enough resolution. The questions are, how can I change the resolution and will it work if I can? Thanks for your time and input. Any further details required, just let me know.

I asked this question before, but the answers didn't help. So...
I recently purchased a Hanns-G HW191D LCD Flat Panel monitor and a eGe Force Nvidia 8500 GT graphics card. I hooked the monitor up and it won't show a picture until I reboot. Simply put, every time I want to see the screen, I have to boot twice. I have installed all of the drivers for both the graphics card and the monitor. When I first start the computer, it says "No Video Signal, Check Video Cable" I hear the computer boot, and start windows, but can't see anything. So I shut down, restart and the monitor works perfectly fine. I cant seem to figure out the problem. Thank you in advanced for any help.
Drivers are installed
Monitor is securely connected
BIOS is setup
Video Card works fine with another monitor
Monitor works fine with another computer
