My LCD synaps monitor needs a refresh setting of 65. Since this is not an option I tried 75 and the monitor flickers. I tried 60 and their seems to be interference on the screen (it twitches). I went to Dell's website and updated my BIOS and I reinstalled my video adapter. I couldn't even find a website for synaps to downlaod a driver from there. Why doesn't my computer have 65 Hertz as an option? I'm a little frustrated. Can anyone help? Thanks.

65 Hz is not a normal refresh rate, so it is not that surprising that the system does not support it.

Run the LCD at 60 Hz.

I suspect that it needs to be set up for your system. So set the refresh rate to 60 Hz, then open up Notepad and fill the screen with H characters. Then hit the Auto Setup button on the monitor.

This will let the monitor work out the optimum time to sample the signal from the computer and help stop the twitching.

I have never seen the system setting go to 65 if it does make sure the "hide modes that this monitor cannot display" un checked and see if it is in there. if it is not then you might want to try one of the others like 45 or 80Hz
