when i plug in the power chord, it just blinks green. it does not turn amber, like how it is supposed to while charging. and the battery life continues to go down, not showing the charging symbol.

Ok so here I go. I am in the market for a new monitor. Now I would like my monitor to support the highest level of HD so I can sometimes play with my 360. How can I tell if an LCD Monitor supports 1080p. I have seen some monitors say HD Ready but when you look at the specs nothing is different from the monitors that don't say that. I am in the market for a 20" - 22" monitor. I already have some monitors singled out but I want to know how to tell if the have HD support, especially 1080p. Does it have anything to do with HDCP or DVI-D. I would also like to know if for a monitor to support 1080p it must have a HDMI thing.

I've got a Dell Inspiron m630 and have been using it for about a year and a half. Back in April or May, I sent it back to Dell because the monitor kept wobbling whenever I touched it. They fixed it, but the monitor has begun to wobble again. Any way to fix it at home? I could probably send it back to Dell, but I really don't want to go through the trouble.

Cleaning them with just plain water does not remove smudges. The monitor manufacturers say absolutely do NOT use regular window cleaners.

I have a 16" CRT monitor and it it seems to generate an insane amount of heat. I can feel a lot of heat radiating when I hold my hand over the rear end of it. (The PC tower puts out less heat than the monitor does) I have also tested this by keeping a thermometer in the room. For every one hour the monitor runs, the room temp goes up one degree Fahrenheit.

If the room is 72 degrees when I turn it on in the morning, by the end of the day the room is about 85°. Note: using stand by mode and energy star settings apparently make no difference in the heat output.

Will an LCD put out a lot less heat than a CRT monitor?

I've got the gamecube plugged to the laptop right now. Both the red and white audio cables are connected into one that allows me to plug them both to the "Audio-in connector". And I've got the yellow one plugged into another cable which allows me to plug it into the "S-Video In Connector". The gamecube is on, so is the laptop. Now. What is the next step into using my laptop as a monitor, or is there just no way to do it?

I am wanting to display a video project on the wall like a picture frame, and would like to buy lcd screens outside of casing that can easily be hooked up to a computer and/or dvd player in a cabinet away from the display. Any ideas where I can find screens like this?

Ok, so I often change the screen resolution on computer games higher to get a better picture quality. However, if I change it too high, the game cannot display anything and the screen is pitch black. How can I change it back if I can't see anything? I know some games have a 10 second reset option, but the games I've had trouble with don't (at least I don't think so). How can I change it back without groping around in the dark through the menu hoping to hit the screen resolution option?
