Cleaning them with just plain water does not remove smudges. The monitor manufacturers say absolutely do NOT use regular window cleaners.

You can make you own use 50% isopropyl alcohol and 50% distilled water as tap water may leave spots.
Works well, just use a really soft cloth -- no paper products here!

You can also buy screen wipes at many computer stores just check what they contain.

Although you can use many of the screen cleaners available but they may reduce the screen quality.Clean it with a slight damp cloth.Precaution is better than cure so better use a screen cover when not in use!

I think u can use a hoover for dust (but don't press the screen!!) and just wipe the monitor softly with a wet cloth or something. Other wise, i'm sorry i can't help!!!

I use disc cleaner on mine, works great.
