I have a Radeon X300 Graphics Card in my HP Media Center m7170n Computer. The Computer is 3 years old. I have an Intel Pentium 830 D Processor Dual Core and 2 GB Ram. I know the Graphics Card is not very good but like to buy a 24 inch Monitor with a Resolution of 1920x1200. Would my Graphics card be good enough to get the most benefit out of the monitor? Thank You

This is what I am trying to do
1) Brighten your screen (Not too much)
2) Right click on your desktop and click properties
3) Click settings and then click on the "Advanced" button
4) Now click on monitor and under screen refresh rate, choose a higher refresh rate.
But I am stuck on step 4 the refresh rate my computer is set on is set on 75 hertz and step 4 says to choose the higher refresh rate well is 85 or 72 hertz the higher refresh rate?? Thanks!!

It's in the foreground, my cursors stays behind it, so it's not anything I can click on. It's in the middle of my screen & very annoying. When I restart my computer it goes away for a while. This just started yesterday.

Every now and then, I like to change the picture that is on my desktop on my computer. Recently, when I go to change it, the list of pictures to select is gray and I can't click on it. It only lets me change it to a color, and not a picture. I tried changing it through MY PICTURES, but that doesn't work either. Any suggestions? I'd really appreciate it.

I plan to get a new monitor (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824254001)
with both VGA and DVI inputs. My computer's video card is fairly old and only supports VGA output.

Is this PCI interface tuner card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814122180)
all I need to watch TV on my monitor?
The reviews are quite varied. I have a coaxial cable signal coming out of the wall (no need for a cable box or satellite or anything).

Is this the appropriate product? Should I upgrade my video card? Is the included software adequate or can you recommend something better?

I am familiar with the workings of a computer, but have never attempted a TV-to-PC project before and would like to know if I'm on the right track.

Thanks alot!

I found these instructions:

1) Right click on your desktop and click properties
2) Click settings and then click on the "Advanced" button
3) Now click on monitor and under screen refresh rate, choose a higher refresh rate.

It was supposed to help your eyes from hurting but my screen became blurry. So I set it back to the lower refresh rate.

the green power light flashes and its supposed to stay solid green and the screen is blank. I heard a rumor that you need to download a patch or something for it to work. Is that true? where do i download it from. Also i cant find a brand name, but theres some sort of serial number on the back, is their a website where i can type it in and find the brand?

The problem is that, after installing an AGP video card, it wasn't detected automatically by the system. I'll need to disable the integrated card in BIOS but I don't have a display to work with.
what do I do?
