Onl te keyboard will be a Fn Key, plus omne with an image of monitors (Check manual for exact key location)
Either use Fn + that to switch the laptop to VGA output, or plug in monitor before you power on laptop.

Does your computer display properly to another monitor? if so, then the monitor is faulty, otherwise the video card is faulty.
