It's your monitor, not the computer itself, maybe it's time to invest in getting a new monitor.

Check the video connection to the monitor on the computer and the monitor. Remove and plug back in.
Check video cable ends for bent or broken pins.
Make sure the plug it pushed all the way in - do not force it.
If you have any electrical equipment near your monitor (CRT) move it away from the monitor (Fan, desktop, tower, fluorescent lamp, etc). The electrical and magnet fields can distort the colours of a CRT monitor.
You can attempt to adjust the colour settings for your monitor and/or the video card.
If this does not fix it, it could be the monitor

If its more then a few years old you need a replacement. Don't buy an LCD monitor BTW like these people are saying, it'll cost you LOTS more money because of the power it takes up.

I have faced this problem sometime back.
You need to take it some computer hardware professional, who will get some ICs changed, and thus repair the monitor back to normal.

If it is a CRT, you lost one of the gun. By a LCD screen, it will last forever.
