If you have a CRT then 75 Hz or 85 Hz will reduce flicker.

If you have an LCD then >60 Hz is fairly pointless IMHO. Most LCDs will not go above 75 Hz as the shearing stress on the liquid crystal starts breaking the molecules down and the screen does not work anymore.

For me I would increase the detail until my FPS values came down to the region of my refresh rate rather than try increasing the refresh rate to match the FPS. If you have >85 FPS then either movement is going to be imperceptible frame to frame, or you are just not going to see what is moving.

I would rather run 1280 by 1024 at 30 to 60 FPS rather than 1024 by 768 at 60 to 120 FPS. The more detail more than makes up for the 'jerky' movement. Remember a movie is actually at 24 FPS.

It depends on your video card. If your video card can only do 30 frames per second, than making your monitor refresh 90 times per second won't do much.

extreme reveal refresh expenses are sturdy for video and could make different issues look smoother. the only situation you will be able to desire to come for the period of could desire to be that the photographs card has to artwork a sprint harder regardless of the undeniable fact that it does not impression is plenty.

Depends on whether the flicker bothers you. Personally, 60 Hz has way too much flicker for me. Some people notice it more than others.
