Do you have a desktop which is on the desk beside the monitor - left side?

Do you have any electrical device near the left side of the monitor?

If you answer yes to both or either of the questions, move the device etc away from the monitor.

If neither of these apply, try degausing the monitor. There should be a degausing feature on the monitor menu buttons.

If non of these work, your monitor may be on it's way out.

Good Luck.

There is not much you can do.

There is a possiblilty that it could be caused by magnetic interference. Check to make sure there are no magnets near that side of the monitor, this includes unshielded Speakers.

Also try the Degaussing feature of your computer, it should be somewhere on the On Screen Display and will look like a magnet symbol.

But it is more likely that the CRT is out of alignment or is beginning to fail. Either way, it is not worth putting any effort into.

Just use it until it fails, then buy an LCD monitor. They are getting really cheap these days and the difference in image quality is well worth the money. Plus it will be a heck of a lot easier on your eyes.

It's faulty unless someone was messing with the display buttons on the front of the monitor and changed the setttings.

You can go back in and change them back if that's what has happened, if that's not the issue then the screen is gone I'm afraid.
