I bought a flat panel analog monitor along with a new computer from Dell. I thought I was only going to use the computer to surf the net and word processing, but I actually got interested in games. Dell also sells a flat panel "UtraSharp" Digital Monitor. I've read mixed opinions. Some say there is no difference between analog and digital. So should I cough up some money for a digital monitor to enhance my game play. Is it worth the money?? Is the "UtraSharp" name misleading?

When I boot up my computer the screen is fine, but as the day goes on the screen changes, and dips inwards from the middle - just like an hour glass shape. This means I lose the top of menu bars etc. The only way I have found to remedy it is to re-boot. I can't be doing this often during the day, and I was wondering if there is a cure, or if I need to buy a new monitor.

Some of my monitors in my cafe get fuzzy after some minutes of use. The only way to offset thisis to make adjustments to the brightness and constrast dials (downwards). However, it reaches a point when it doesn't work anymore. What can a technician do about it, what repairs are needed? I need top know this in advance so that the local techs don't try to cheat me into buying some expensive part I don't need.

This is really annoying. When I play a game on my PC this really high tone, high frequency sound starts coming out of my monitor. It also happens when visualisations in Windows media player are in full screen mode. Could someone tell me how I could get rid of this. Thanks in advance.

I have a pc with this configuration :
AMD Athlon 2400+, 2.0 GHz, 256 RAM, 40GB Hard Disk, Windows XP Operating System
The problem is my monitor screen blinks, it goes off (totally blank) for about 1 sec. or so and comes back automatically, this disturbs a lot. There is no periodicity in this, sometimes very frequent. The pc is attached with UPS, so no voltage fluctuations are possible.
What could be the reason and the possible solutions ????
P.S. The Monitor is LG Studioworks 450N
Please Help !!

What are the benefits of choosing a widescreen flat panel computer monitor (example a 21 inch widescreen digital flat panel) over the regular flat panel monitor(example a 21 inch flat panel digital monitor). If there are any benefits, why do the widescreen monitors cost a little less than the non-widescreens. Thank you.

For all those computer users, from the home to the office, what is the type of monitor you prefer? The ratraditional CRT or the flat screen LCD?

Will you accept the old CRT? Is it okay to you? If not, why?
