conrad seems to be the winner here, I agree with the DVI option as a must. so any future answers must keep that as a requirement. thanks

Here's a ViewSonic for $217, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824116353 and the Samsung 930B for $189 (after rebates), http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824001063

Here's another ViewSonic for $260, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824116375

And here's a similar Samsung to what you were looking for, this one is the 940BF for $270, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824001230

I would say stick to Samsung, Viewsonic or NEC other than that you have plenty of choices and I stuck with monitors that had DVI.

I have had wonderful luck with my 19" Acer. After almost three years not a single glitch. Not a single dead pixel.

Here is a review on the Samsung 940BW - http://www.pcw.co.uk/personal-computer-world/hardware/2159088/samsung-syncmaster-940bw
