Unless you have a High Definition TV I wouldn't bother. The resolution of a normal TV is too low for anything except playing games. it would be like using your normal monitor in 640 x 480 mode... most can't even go that bad!!

It all depends on the video output of your PC, and the inputs for your TV...
The most common matching cable is called S-VHS.
If both your video card and TV match this standard, it will work fine... If not, you will need a different setup!

you can get a tv out card for your pc and this will do the job. make sure it is tv out though as you can buy tv in cards. it does not have to be a s-video, it all depends on the card specifics. you can get just normal coaxial cables.

yeah purely connect the RCA to the dvd participant and the different stereo jack contained in the audio equipment.. and use yet another cable to connect audio equipment to pc and switching cables even as utilising the dvd..

that cables should you have to connect your tv to your pc is s-video cable colored yellow, or just ordinary rca cable but your video card and tv should have an rca terminal for these two .
